The UK is finally beginning to deal in a concerted and coordinated way with decommissioning at its twenty civil nuclear sites. Under the recently established Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA),
which has been charged with taking strategic responsibility for the UK’s nuclear legacy, contracts for the programme management of decommissioning at individual sites, or clusters of sites, will be
opened up to competition for the first time. |
